#Resistance, as we all know is only allowed in protest of President Trump. But what if you live on an island of 20 million people, ruled by a Communist Mayor and represented by some of the most liberal members of the United States Congress? How then can one #Resist? The answer, apparently, is you can't.
Just ask Manhattan resident, Eddie Desmond.
Desmond, a 58-year-old electrician was admonished by his condo board for proudly flying an American flag out of his window and subsequently banned from doing so by a municipal judge after the board sued Desmond, lest he trigger anyone else.
Not to be intimidated by an activist judge, Desmond, in an act of civil disobedience, refused the judge's order and began to fly the flag upside down to protest the oppression he was enduring.
Desmond explained his position in historical terms to the New York Post: "Like, if you're in the Alamo, and you're out of ammunition, and you have no way to contact your guys because your radio is dead — it's been shot to pieces — you fly the flag upside down and say, 'You gotta come help me, this is it!'"
Just like Crockett, Desmond refused to give up after a loss and to this day presumably continues to fly Old Glory in proud defiance of the tyrannical government under which he resides.
For this act of unmitigated patriotism, Eddie Desmond, you're a Washington Free Beacon Man of the Year.
