Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) over the weekend gave a recommendation for Americans on Thanksgiving: show others at the dinner table a chart that slams the Senate Republican tax reform plan.

"Bring this chart to Thanksgiving dinner," Schumer wrote on Twitter. "It'll come in handy when that family member who always talks politics tells you the Republican tax bill helps the middle class."

Some observers criticized the chart for being misleading, arguing the tax cuts that expire in 2027 to meet reconciliation rules could be extended.

Many Twitter users, both liberal and conservative, ripped Schumer's idea of bringing a chart on tax policy to Thanksgiving dinner.

Schumer followed up his tweet by telling Americans to "show your Uncle" a photo of Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin and his wife posing at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.
