Paul Ryan Takes On IRS In New Ad

'I may get audited for approving this message, but it would be worth it'

Congressman Paul Ryan (R., Wisc.) challenged the IRS corruption and an outdated tax code in a new ad for his 2014 re-election campaign.

The ad, entitled "Audit," points out both the hypocrisy and the ineffectiveness of the IRS.

"The IRS tells you to hang on to seven years of your personal tax information," Ryan said. "But they can't even keep six months of employee emails."

Ryan called for a simpler tax code, elimination of loopholes, and lowered tax rates in order to create jobs.

The former vice presidential candidate presented a simple formula: "less of the IRS, and more people working."

"I'm Paul Ryan, and I may get audited for approving this message," Ryan said. "But it would be worth it."
