A Democrat running for State Senate in North Carolina had a bizarre reaction to the discovery of a racist video he put on his Youtube account.
Senate hopeful Bivins Hollar advocated genocide against black South Africans, in order to ensure a profitable hemp-based green economy for the surviving whites in the video, which he deleted when contacted by the Charlotte Observer:
He suggests white South Africans build a "green-energy" economy by growing hemp, which he touts as useful in making bio-degradable plastics.
"Push the blacks out of the way, just shoot ’em and kick ’em out," he says (on the tape). …
When a reporter called him back, Hollar said, "I believe in (Republican presidential candidate) Ron Paul. … OK, you just need to stop calling me." Later, Hollar posted another video criticizing the media, especially the Observer.
He was one of two Democrats who North Carolina party officials have recently denounced. The other, Carrol Crawford, was running for a local county post before his history of cross burning on behalf of the Ku Klux Klan sank his candidacy.
