Majority Support Obamacare Repeal, Poll Finds

Highest level in more than a year

February 23, 2012

A new Quinnipiac poll finds that support for repeal of President Obama’s signature health care law is growing.

Voters support Congressional efforts to repeal the law by a 52 to 39 percent margin, the poll shows. Independent voters support repeal 50 to 38 percent.

That marks the highest level of support for repeal since January 2011, when Quinnipiac found that voters favored repeal by a 48 to 43 percent margin.

An even larger percentage of Americans—56 percent—disapproves of the president’s handling of health care in general, the poll finds, the highest level in more than a year; just 40 percent approve.
