Former Fox News host Eric Bolling announced Thursday that a coroner determined his son died from an "accidental overdoes that included opioids."

Bolling tweeted the results of the investigation into Eric Chase Bolling's death, which occurred on the same day that Fox News announced the elder Bolling would no longer be employed at the cable news giant following an internal investigation into sexual harassment allegations, Mediaite reported.

Eric Chase Bolling was only 19 years old when he died. A coroner in Colorado determined the cause of his death.

Bolling's tweets came days after he castigated his former Fox News colleague Bill O'Reilly for mentioning his son. O'Reilly referenced Eric Chase while discussing his own separation from the network.

The announcement of the coroner's ruling came the same day that President Donald Trump called America's opioid epidemic a "national health emergency" during an event at the White House.
