Cramer: Immigration Won’t Help When We Already Have Shortage of Jobs

CNBC host Jim Cramer joined MSNBC’s The Cycle Monday to discuss December’s lackluster jobs report, saying that increased levels of immigration would only exacerbate the country’s lack of jobs.

"We’re not creating enough jobs," Cramer said. "Because of that we have too many people who work here looking for jobs and there aren’t enough jobs."

"Maybe the immigration [issue] is not that great when we have way, way, way extra supply of workers right now," Cramer noted.

The United States added only 74,000 jobs in December 2013, a serious decline in growth after 240,000 jobs were added in November.
