Democrats are expressing outrage over rancher Cliven Bundy’s racist remarks, but have failed to acknowledge racist remarks made by a member of their own party.
CNN’s Dana Bash weighed in the controversy, telling Wolf Blitzer Friday that she has received complaints from Republicans about the double standard imposed by Democrats.
Illinois Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn recently fired off a series of tweets containing the link to an article comparing African American Republican voters to Jews who collaborated with the Nazis, as previously reported by the Washington Free Beacon’s senior writer Adam Kredo. The article was written by Neil Steinberg and accuses Quinn’s opponent, Bruce Rauner, of buying off the African American community and its leaders.
Quinn’s campaign lauded the article and tweeted the link to his followers. The tweets were later deleted following outrage from local Jewish community officials.
"Democrats don’t get the kind of security necessarily that Republicans do," Bash said of the double standard created by Democrats.
