Former President Bill Clinton has been asked to participate in the popular ABC show Dancing With the Stars every year since its first season, according to People.
Clinton has apparently turned down the opportunity to join the ranks of celebrities and athletes such as Rob Kardashian and Shawn Johnson, who have participated in the series. Even Sarah Palin’s daughter, Bristol, competed for the title, finishing in 3rd place in 2010.
The star-studded dance competition pairs celebrities with professional dancers who compete to be the last couple standing. The show’s casting director, Deena Katz, spoke with ABC News on Tuesday before it announced the lineup for season 23.
"You know, I ask Bill Clinton every time," Katz said during an interview with ABC.
Unlike Bill, wife Hillary has not been shy about letting loose on the dance floor.
The 23rd season is set to premiere on September 12th on ABC.
