Sentencing for a Convicted Cop Shooter Happens on Friday

Brian Cannon, Jr. is facing the possibility of life in prison after being convicted of nine charges last month. These charges include first-degree assault of a law enforcement officer, armed criminal action, two counts of burglary and two counts of stealing a car.

Police Officer Mike Vernon is confined to a wheelchair after being shoot three times by Cannon.  Officer Vernon was able to testify during the trial about the fateful night in May of  2012 and hopes that Cannon "spends the rest of his life in a cell."
