House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) weighed in on Major League Baseball this morning at the end of her weekly press briefing, revealing that her knowledge of teams is limited to their ownership.
"How about the Giants?" one reporter asked as Pelosi left the room.
"How about the Giants, and how about the Orioles?" Pelosi said, half-heartedly endorsing both teams.
"You know, my father brought the Orioles to Baltimore when he was mayor of Baltimore, so I'm happy to see them do so well," Pelosi said.
"My next door neighbor owns the Nationals, so there's a lot of good teams that could win the Pennant and then win the...win the World Series, so stay tuned."
We will, Pelosi, and we look forward to your commentary as we head into the playoffs.
