Megyn Kelly's first interview since she left Fox News for NBC will be with the celebrity Kardashian family, TMZ reported Friday, citing sources involved in the interview.

NBC News chairman Andy Lack was in Russia last month attempting to secure a rare interview with Putin, according to reports. The network had not decided which NBC anchor would sit down with the Russian president, but Kelly was considered one possible option. The other leading candidates were "Today" show host Matt Lauer and "Nightly News" anchor Lester Holt.

The entire Kardashian family will appear in the joint interview, with only Rob Kardashian and Caitlyn Jenner not present. The interview reportedly occurred on Thursday on the set of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."

Kelly is set to premiere on NBC in June.

Page Six reported Tuesday that Kelly will moderate the session involving Putin as part of the annual St. Petersburg International Economic Forum taking place from June 1 to 3.

UPDATE: Tuesday, 12:26 p.m: This article has been updated to reflect that Kelly will also be traveling to Russia to moderate the Vladimir Putin session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
