Gayle King Compliments GOP Senator's Looks Immediately Following Discussion of Sexual Harassment

December 8, 2017

"CBS This Morning" host Gayle King slipped in a compliment about Sen. Jon Thune's (R., S.D.) looks on Friday following a discussion of sexual harassment on Capitol Hill.

King shifted the discussion away from tax reform and toward the resignation annoucement of Sen. Al Franken (D., Minn.) and sexual harassment in politics.

"I think on Capitol Hill the discussion we're having right now is long overdue," Thune said.

"Yes," King said in agreement before asking Thune his opinion on Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore.

Thune reiterated his view that Moore should step aside for another Republican to win the race.

"Very good to have you at the table," King said to conclude the interview.

"Good to be with you all. Thank you," Thune said. "Merry Christmas, early."

"Very nice to see you in person," King said.

"Yeah, likewise," Thune agreed.

"You look as good in person as you do on TV," King flirted.

"Thanks, Gayle," Thune said with eyebrows raised as the female cohosts all laughed.
