The NYT and Waterboarding

February 28, 2013

Buried in today's New York Times report on how "people who are drawn to power exchange in sexuality and may refer to themselves as kinky are finding themselves in the spotlight as never before" is evidence of warcrimes:

Many in the kink communities see education as an essential part of breaking down people’s assumptions as well as for creating best practices among participants. The Eulenspiegel Society offers workshops and demonstrations on activities ranging from caning to water-boarding ("Bringing the infamous torture technique out of Gitmo, and into your dungeon," the organization’s Web site states).

Amazingly, however, the Times does not identify the men and women who are violating the U.S. Army Field Manual and Geneva Conventions, and on American soil no less. Why isn't DiFi investigating? Once again the Congress sleeps as American values are betrayed.
