As the world said farewell to Baroness Margaret Thatcher yesterday, it was also introduced to her American granddaughter, Amanda Thatcher, who delivered a reading from the New Testament.

Amanda had the honor of being one of only two readers at the memorial. The other: current Prime Minister David Cameron.

Amanda has more fans. Writers are singing her praises, lauding her composure at such a high-profile event and complimenting her classically cute looks. She’s attractive but not intimidating. Seems like she’d go on a date with you if you asked. Or at least she'd go with me. I don't know about you.

Back in the Home of the Brave, Amanda comes from the Lone Star State. She's a freshman member of the University of Richmond’s track team. As an accomplished runner in high school, she won the district tile in the 300-meter hurdles.Check out the video below. You can watch her making an impact on the collegiate level, finishing 14th in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.97:

Looks like the Iron Lady’s indomitable will is hereditary.
