Mark Wahlberg, co-star of the highly anticipated film Pain and Gain, took a break from the promotional tour to visit with students at T.C. Williams High School outside Washington, D.C., telling them how important it is to graduate.

Fitting, since Wahlberg dropped out in the ninth grade.

"If my career goes south, I’m working at McDonald’s. I’m driving a tow truck," he said. "That’s why I’m going back to high school."

T.C. Williams received federal funding in 2010 to improve low performance and graduation rates. They should use some of that money to hire Wahlberg as a life coach. The Titans couldn’t have found a better role model when it comes to hard work and taking control of your life.

After serving an assault charge as a teen, Wahlberg pursued a career in music and then in acting. He's a 1990s icon, modeling in one of the iconic fashion campaigns of all time and rapping in the definitive one-hit wonder of the decade. He parlayed those accomplishments into a serious film career, with roles in Boogie NightsThree KingsThe DepartedFighter, and Ted. And he co-produced Entourage.

And in what could be the best news since last week's terror attack, Marky Mark says he would reunite with the Funky Bunch for a fundraiser for the victims of the Boston Marathon Bombing.
