When Cinnabon snagged Kat Cole from Hooters to preside as its Chief Operating Officer in 2010, it wasn't because Cole once donned the orange booty shorts.
Cole was in on the ground floor during Hooters’ international expansion, and now at Cinnabon she uses her experience to head a company that will earn over a billion dollars in global sales this year.
#LeanIn.
Hooters and Cinnabon are the leaders in their respective industries when it comes to scrumtrulescent treats.
Cole is a storybook example of the American Dream. She started as a Hooters wing slinger, and worked her way up to vice president of the scantily clad sports bar. She dropped out of college to build the Hooters' brand that you enjoy today.
At Cinnabon, Cole presides over 1,000 global franchises in over 50 countries.
"We all have a responsibility to offer choice, options, and portion size so that person who wants to share a 800 calorie classic roll can do that with their friends, but we have a beautiful 300 calorie "mini-bon" that’s a small version to allow people to indulge responsibly," Cole says in the above video.
Kat Cole knows what the public wants: hot buns.
