Congressional Democrats have fretted for days that to release the now-declassified memo, which was written by House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes (R., Calif.) and alleges Justice Department surveillance abuses, would endanger U.S. national security and be highly reckless. Nevertheless, members of the media now say there's a good chance it's a partisan "nothing burger."
