Lamborn: 'We Shouldn't Be Intimidated by the Chinese'

Rep. Doug Lamborn (R., Colo.) appeared on Fox Business Monday to discuss the growing crisis in North Korea and the U.S. response, including what he called the "very troubling development" of the idea of constrained missile defense in Asia in exchange for Chinese help in reducing the North Korean nuclear threat.

"It would send the wrong signal to our allies like Japan and South Korea that their interests are secondary," Lamborn said. "That should not be the case, and we shouldn't be intimidated by the Chinese ... We have to do what's best for our defense and our allies' defense, and do what Ronald Reagan said. We should have peace through strength, not peace through weakness."

Lamborn also briefly discussed the deadly explosions at the Boston Marathon Monday, calling them a sad reminder that "we live in a dangerous world."
