"The View" co-host Joy Behar cracked a pair of jokes Tuesday suggesting romances between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin and Trump and White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus.
In response to the dust-up over a New York theater group's rendition of Julius Caesar that depicts the titular, doomed character as a Trump-like figure, Behar quipped she would watch a production of Romeo and Juliet with Trump and Putin as the leads.
The play, of course, is about a pair of star-crossed, young lovers, and the investigation into Russian interference that benefited Trump in the 2016 campaign continues.
"I would like that," Behar said. "That I would go to see."
Later, the panel joined in the chorus mocking Trump's Cabinet meeting on Monday, which consisted of a series of obsequious remarks made to Trump by members of his administration. At one point, Priebus thanked Trump for the "blessing" of serving his agenda in the White House.
"How much self-tanner does [Priebus] have on his lips?" Behar asked, drawing laughter. "To say it's a blessing and to kiss his butt like that, it's nauseating."
