Markay Discusses Republican Efforts to Replace Obamacare

Washington Free Beacon reporter Lachlan Markay said that Republicans have a tendency to over-promise on their plans for health care during an appearance Tuesday on Fox Business' "Kennedy."

"I think Republicans sort of, they have this tendency to want to over-promise on whatever is going to replace Obamacare," Markay said. "I think it's a mistake to say that nobody is going to lose coverage because a lot of Republicans during the legislative stages might have said it's not the federal government's job to insure that everyone is being covered."

When discussing the political ramifications of health care overhaul, Markay said that reform would be "politically impossible." Markay also said that a piecemeal approach would have been the best method to change Obamacare.

Later in the program, Markay said that Dippin' Dots ice cream is "garbage."
