President Obama will be unemployed in 11 days and rumors have swirled about what opportunities he will pursue once out of the White House.
One music company is hoping to capitalize on Obama's upcoming unemployment by offering him a job.
Spotify, the digital music streaming platform, recently posted a job opening for "President of Playlists," which describes the responsibilities of the new position.
"Identify and substantiate new playlist ideas, e.g. from a playlist for shooting hoops with your friends, to the perfect warm up playlist for addressing the nation about health care legislation that bears your name," the job posting says.
Just last week, Obama reportedly joked to former Swedish ambassador Mark Brzezinski, "I'm still waiting for my job at Spotify ... 'cause I know y'all loved my playlist."
Spotify was originally founded in Sweden in 2006 and has since expanded to over 60 countries.
The CEO of Spotify on Monday tweeted out a link to the newly created position after hearing about Obama's remarks.
Hey @BarackObama, I heard you were interested in a role at Spotify. Have you seen this one? https://t.co/iragpCowpO

"As an organization, we are full of hope, and always open to change" the Spotify job posting says, referencing Obama's famous campaign slogan from 2008.
The strict criteria for applicants include "eight years experience running a highly-regarded nation" and asks that applicants "should be nothing short of one of the greatest speakers of all time."
Obama is a noted music fan, and during his eight years in office, the president has appeared alongside and hosted events with a variety of musicians across genres.
During his first presidential election in 2008, Obama consistently referenced his musical tastes, including artists such as Bob Dylan, Jay Z, and Elton John. He later revealed in 2012 that he has many old school artists on his iPod playlists, including James Brown, Miles Davis, and John Coltrane, and newer ones such as Eminem.
On Friday night, Obama held his farewell party at the White House, which was attended by numerous musical celebrities such as John Legend, Usher, Nick Jonas, and Chance the Rapper.
Obama used Spotify over the summer to curate two playlists that included one summertime playlist for the day and another one for nighttime. "The President's Summer Playlist: Day" spanned a variety of genres and had songs from Bob Marley, Justin Timberlake, and Florence and the Machines.
Notably absent from either of these playlists were any songs with hip hop artist and Donald Trump supporter Kanye West, who Obama famously called a "jackass" after West's feud with Taylor Swift.
