Biden Motorcade Causes Traffic Jam

Vice President Joe Biden’s visit to New Jersey to campaign for Senator Bob Menendez caused a massive traffic jam during rush hour on Route 78 Monday.

The Summit Patch reports:

The visit from the Vice President of the United States caused significant delays for motorists early this evening. At about 6:45 p.m. on Monday, March 19, Eastbound lanes on Route 78 were closed down between Exit 29 in Springfield and Exit 58 in Newark to accommodate the presidential motorcade. The road was cleared by 7:10 p.m., according to New Jersey state police. A representative of the New Jersey state police confirmed that the V.I.P. visitor was Vice President Joe Biden, who was in town to attend a fundraiser for Senator Bob Menendez.
