Former TP Blogger Denis McDonough Named WH Chief of Staff

New White House communications director also a former Think Progress blogger

President Barack Obama announced Friday that Denis McDonough would be named White House chief of staff.

McDonough is a former Think Progress blogger and longtime Obama adviser. He will replace Jack Lew.

The new White House communications director Jennifer Palmieri is also a former Think Progress blogger. She will replace Dan Pfeiffer, who was promoted to senior adviser.

The news comes after a Free Beacon report exposed El-Sayed's leadership role with another anti-cop group that staged a deadly Detroit protest
