CNN: Obama Admin's No-Show in Paris 'Shocking, Stubborn, Tone Deaf'

January 12, 2015

When President Obama was just a candidate, he ran on a platform of building new alliances and strengthening old ones. But after failing to have a senior ranking official appear at the march in France, it doesn't appear he cares as much as he said he does.

France is one of the United States' oldest allies, and after this weekend, the administration needs to take a long hard look in the mirror.

CNN anchor John King called the lack of appearance "shocking, stubborn, and tone deaf."

The administration felt it was better to send Secretary of State John Kerry to India to strengthen trade relations. Attorney General Eric Holder was in France, but at a counterterrorism conference. Joe Biden was nowhere to be seen. It seems the Obama administration is failing Diplomacy 101 and alienating the people who have consistently come to our aid.
