A poll released Sunday by Bloomberg Politics shows that a majority of Americans think race relations have worsened since President Obama first took office.
The poll found 53 percent of Americans think race relations have gotten worse under the country's first black president, and that 36 percent say that race relations have stayed the same.
A paltry nine percent said race relations have gotten better.
The poll comes just following a grand jury decision not to indict a white New York City police officer that killed an unarmed black man.
Respondents had very different opinions on the two recent grand jury decisions not to indict white police officers for killing unarmed black men.
Fifty-two percent of respondents agreed with the decision not to indict Ferguson, Mo., police officer Darren Wilson, who killed Michael Brown. But 60 percent of respondents disagreed with the grand jury decision against indicting New York City police officer Daniel Pantaleo, who killed Eric Garner in a chokehold.
