In December 2009, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) praised Sen. Mark Pryor (D., Ark.) for his leadership role in passing Obamacare--a stance that has now come back to haunt Pryor in the weeks leading up to the 2014 midterm elections.
"I asked Senators Schumer and Pryor to work together with a group of moderates and progressives," Reid said. "Everyone thought, ‘it’s an impossible job.’ But these two fine senators have done an outstanding job of leading these two groups of people."
Pryor’s ‘leadership’ in passing Obamacare resulted in 35,000 Arkansans losing their plans in 2013, despite assurances from President Obama that "if you like your plan, you can keep it."
