#Karma for the University of Arkansas

It’s been a rough 26 months for the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Ever since disgraced former Razorback coach Bobby Petrino took his Harley out for a ride two years ago, Arkansas has suffered one staggering public relations snafu after another.

Petrino was fired for both covering up that his mistress, who happened to be a former volleyball player that he hired to be a football employee, was with him at the accident and lying about it when given the chance to fess up. The university knew what it was getting itself into: Petrino had a illustrious resume of sketchiness that well preceded him before his stop in Fayetteville.

Arkansas selected noted looney tune John L. Smith as a stop gap following Petrino's exit. This delicious bout of insanity was after a 52-0 loss to Alabama in the third game of the season. John L told you to SMILE!

Despite being in the preseason top ten, Arkansas struggled to a 4-8 record in 2012. My lone happy memory from working for the Romney campaign that fall was basking in their schadenfreude after losing to unranked UL-Monroe despite being the #10 team in the country.

Arkansas thought they righted the ship when they poached Bret Bielema away from Wisconsin, who was fresh off of three straight Big Ten titles. His wife Jen was a nice addition too.

However, as soon as Jen tweeted "#karma" following a heartbreaking Badger loss, Arkansas preceded to suffer eight straight defeats to finish 4-8.

The Hogs aren’t looking so hot going into 2014; they’re projected to finish last in the SEC West and are racing Kentucky and Vanderbilt to the bottom in the so-called "best conference in football." The only things fans have to look forward to is the selling of booze in the stadium this season.

In other news, a Clinton donor has suspended the Washington Free Beacon from access to its special collections because they’re none-too-pleased with Alana Goodman for making Hillary look bad.

UofA obviously doesn't know who they're dealing with:

Washington Free Beacon founder Michael Goldfarb wrote in an email to reporters that the site will "not cease and desist."

"Regardless of the politics surrounding these events, we hope that press will scrutinize the university's conduct here, and that decent people will stand with us in condemning this attack on our first amendment rights. We will not cease and desist," he said.

Both ends of the political spectrum are now training fire on Arkansas.
