Infrastructure Speech Too Boring for First Lady

Trouble in paradise?

President Obama traveled to New York’s Tappan Zee bridge project on Wednesday to stress the need of streamlining reviews of large infrastructure projects, and to urge Congress to pass a transportation infrastructure bill.

However, the speech failed to garner national media attention and it was not even attended by first lady Michelle Obama.

Ms. Obama, who flew to New York with her husband, decided the speech was too boring and ultimately decided to "split off" from the president’s entourage.

"The first lady, we're told, has split off. She is not attending the infrastructure speech," a White House pool report said.
