Democratic Poll Shows Jeanne Shaheen Vulnerable

Brown officially announced candidacy Thursday

Republican Senate candidate Scott Brown is trailing Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D., N.H.) by eight points, according to a poll of New Hampshire voters released Thursday.

The Public Policy Polling survey commissioned by the League of Conservation Voters reported 49 percent of respondents saying they would vote for Shaheen, compared to 41 percent for Brown, while 10 percent said they were not sure.

The survey done also reported that 49 percent of New Hampshire voters have an unfavorable opinion of Brown, while 35 percent have a favorable opinion of the candidate.

Forty-seven percent of respondents said they approved of Shaheen’s job performance, while 46 percent disapproved.

The survey was conducted April 7-8 and polled 1,034 New Hampshire voters.

Brown officially announced his Senate candidacy Thursday.
