Schweitzer Takes a Shot at Hillary for Iraq Vote

December 19, 2013

Former  Gov. Brian Schweitzer (D., Mont.) made a dig at former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for voting to send troops to Iraq in 2002.

Speaking before a crowd, Schweitzer said:

"So, when we were attacked on 9/11 by 17 Saudis and two Egyptians who called themselves al-Qaeda who weren’t welcome in Iraq, and George Bush got a bunch of Democrats to vote to go to that war, I was just shaking my head my head in Montana. I watched non-stop Robert Byrd. Maybe some of the last few years that he had his voice in power begged them, as the senior member of the United States Senate ‘Don’t do this again,’ but they wouldn’t listen."
