Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R., Ill.) appeared on MSNBC's Morning Joe Monday to discuss why he supports military action in Syria. Despite recent polling numbers that suggest the vast majority of the American public are against military action in Syria, Kinzinger stated he is unequivocally for military action in Syria because America's red line against chemical weapons has been crossed.

On the topic of whether the President will receive congressional support he needs for military action, NBC News' Kasie Hunt said that the conventional wisdom that the President has the Senate in the bag might not be the case. Kinzinger believed the lack of support from both Congress and the American public is a result of the President's inability to successfully make his case.
