New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R.) issued a blistering response to Sen. Rand Paul's (R., Ky.) criticism that Christie had a "gimme gimme gimme" mentality on Hurricane Sandy aid Tuesday afternoon.
Christie reminded Paul that New Jersey is a net donor to the federal government, paying a $1.61 in taxes for every dollar they receive, while Kentucky takes $1.51 for every dollar it sends to Washington.
The New Jersey governor suggested if Paul is concerned about deficit reduction maybe he should look at cutting the "pork barrel" spending that "he brings home to Kentucky."
