Rogers: To Claim Snowden's Actions Haven't Hurt Our Safety is 'Dead Wrong'

Rep. Mike Rogers (R., Mich.), reacting to news that NSA leaker Edward Snowden was on his way to Moscow and reportedly would wind up Cuba and perhaps Venezuela, took exception to the Guardian reporter Glenn Greenwald's defense of Snowden on "Meet the Press" and anyone who thought his revelations were not harmful to U.S. national security interests.

"You think about what he says he wants and what his actions are, it defies logic," Rogers said. "He has taken information that does not belong to him. It belongs to the people of the United States. He has jeopardized our national security. I disagree with the reporter. Clearly the bad guys have already changed their way ... To say that is not harmful to the national security interests of the United States or our safety is just dead wrong."
