The environment and climate change tops the list of Secretary of State John Kerry's threats to American children.
"An issue like environment slash global climate change just leaps out at me as a profoundly important issue for future generations," Kerry said during a Google Hangout on Friday.
"If we don't respond adequately to the challenge of global climate change over the course of these next years there will be people fighting, wars over water and over [agricultural] land, and other kinds of things," Kerry said.
Kerry's then mentioned healthcare costs as the second threat to families with children.
The final threat Kerry sees for American children is security.
