Former Democratic Indiana state representative Michael Marshall was sentenced to 18 months in prison for voter fraud Monday, reports WCSI Local News:
Our news gathering partners at "The Republic" report that 61-year-old Michael Marshall of North Vernon was ordered by Jennings Circuit Court Judge Jon Webster to serve half of his sentence behind bars, with the remaining nine months suspended.
Marshall, who served briefly in the Indiana General Assembly, was originally charged with 20 counts of voter fraud, 12 counts of forgery and 13 counts of perjury. Under the plea agreement, all other charges were dropped in exchange for Marshall’s three guilty pleas, all Class D felonies.
