Imprisoned U.S. pastor Saeed Abedini is being denied medication and visitors in Iran’s notorious Rajai Shahr prison, according to the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ).

ACLJ reports that Abedini’s father was turned away by prison officials when he tried to give his son some of his personal belongings, blankets, and medication. Abedini was recently moved with no advance notice to Rajai Shahr, a facility that houses Iran’s most violent criminals:

Human rights groups report that prisoners in Rajai Shahr do not have access to fresh air, proper nutrition, and that louse and communicable diseases are wide spread.

Saeed’s health had been improving with his medication in Evin prison, but with horrendous conditions in Rajai Shahr and the lack of proper medication, Saeed’s health will likely deteriorate quickly.

Please join us in prayer for Saeed’s health and protection. Take action in urging our nation’s leaders to take action to directly engage diplomatically to save Pastor Saeed’s life. Sign the petition to immediately intervene to #SaveSaeed at BeHeardProject.com.

The Washington Free Beacon reported Monday that U.S. officials have publicly remained silent on Abedini and other human rights abuses in Iran as negotiations over the country’s nuclear program continue.
