Fox News' Andrea Tantaros shed some light on Bob Costas' motivation for entering into the fray over the "Washington Redskins" name Monday on The Five.
Tantaros suggested Costas' editorializing on the matter is actually intended to self promote and ingratiate himself to the liberal elite:
BOB BECKEL: I think what Greg had to say about Costas, why in the world, in the middle of a football game, do you begin to editorialize about stuff like this? I don't get it.
KIMBERLY GUILFOYLE: I know, he's trying to steal Alec Baldwin's new show -- it's petty theft.
BECKEL: Seriously, why in the world -- the people who watch this game did not tune in to listen to bob costas give his opinion.
ANDREA TANTAROS: They can't help themselves. And when Bob Costas walks into the cocktail party on Friday night, everybody with their little martinis can go, bravo, Bob, that was so brave of you, yes, it's such a bad name."
DAVID WEBB: Do they really do the bravo thing?
TANTAROS: Yes, they do, with their New York Times in their hand.
