Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius apologized to the American people for the struggles of healthcare.gov during her opening statement to the House Energy and Commerce Committee Wednesday morning. Sec. Sebelius admitted she was accountable to fix the website and stressed she needed to earn back the confidence of the nation by solving healthcare.gov’s problems.
KATHLEEN SEBELIUS: I am as frustrated and angry as anyone with the flawed launch of healthcare.gov. Let me say directly to these Americans, you deserve better. I apologize. I'm accountable to you for fixing these problems. I'm committed to earning your confidence back by fixing the site.
