'Ethical Questions Obvious' as Clinton Foundation Enables Foreign Entities to Lobby Hillary

In 2010, the Obama administration asked the Clinton Foundation to deny funds from foreign governments because of potential conflicts of interest. Since resigning as Secretary of State, the Clinton Foundation has resumed receiving donations from such governments.

With Hillary Clinton’s eyes on a run for the White House, questions are starting to be raised concerning the ethics of accepting donations from foreign governments. While it is illegal for foreign governments to donate money directly to a political campaign, these donations could be viewed as another way in to Clinton’s potential campaign.

Dave Levinthal said he views this as a way for foreign entities to lobby Hillary Clinton while she is running. Larry Sabato said out that the ethical questions raised about this are obvious.
