Newly-leaked emails published Monday by WikiLeaks reveal that a former top aide to Bill Clinton called Chelsea Clinton a "spoiled brat kid."
The new document dump comes days after the U.S. officially accused Russia of hacking and leaking emails posted to sites like WikiLeaks to interfere with the 2016 election.
The documents show that senior employees at the international advisory firm Teneo were concerned a story would come out about Chelsea Clinton’s claims that employees at the firm were using Bill Clinton’s name without his consent while conducting business, the Washington Examiner reported.
Band told John Podesta, Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign chairman, in a November 2011 email that "we are screwed" if this story becomes public, according to the Examiner.
"She is acting like a spoiled brat kid who has nothing else to do but create issues to justify what she's doing because she, as she has said, hasn’t found her way and has a lack of focus in her life," Band said of the former first daughter’s criticisms.
The Examiner also noted an email from Band that discussed the Clinton Foundation’s chief operating officer considering suicide.
Band later described an incident in which the Clinton Foundation’s chief operating officer, Laura Graham, contemplated suicide in Dec. 2011 due to the "stress" of the foundation.
Teneo has faced criticism in the past for hiring top Hillary Clinton aid Huma Abedin while Clinton was finishing her tenure as secretary of state.
