The House Energy and Commerce Committee advanced a bill aimed at keeping taxpayer dollars out of the hands of green energy companies.
The bipartisan No More Solyndras bill, named after the bankrupt solar company owned by several Obama fundraisers, passed 29-19, "a far more comfortable margin than supporters may have feared," according to Politico.
Taxpayers lost more than $500 million on the loan program, which also helped finance several other green energy ventures started by Obama supporters, including Colorado’s Abound Solar.
