Religious leaders with the Islamic State (IS) terror group have reportedly banned pigeon breeding because bird genitals are offensive to Islam, according to the Daily Mail.

Bird genitals can be seen when pigeons are flying overhead. This sight offends the Islamic faith, according to reports about the ban on breeding pigeons.

Pigeon breeders have reportedly been given one week to cease breeding the birds. Violation of the ban will result in public flogging, according to the Mail, which referred to reports of several boys who were arrested and executed after IS militants spotted them breeding pigeons.
