WFB's Ellison Barber On Latest Developments In the VA Scandal

The Washington Free Beacon's Ellison Barber appeared on Fox News to discuss the firing of four senior executives of the Veterans Affairs Department amid a nationwide scandal and coverup.

Barber told Happening Now host Shannon Bream that of the four, only one was a direct result of the scandal over long wait times for veterans seeking medical care, which in some instances led to serious injuries or deaths.

Barber said that because of the systemic problems with the VA, there should be additional firings.

"I think there will be, and I think there probably should be," Barber said. "When you look back at things, like from 2008 to 2012, only one executive at the VA was fired. Having four is certainly an improvement than what it was before, but I think they still have a long way to go."
