MSNBC Discusses Climate Change 10x More Than Abortion In Pope Francis Coverage

Significant disparity in single day's reporting on the pope's visit to Washington D.C.

September 25, 2015

During their coverage of Pope Francis' visit to Washington D.C. on Wednesday, MSNBC elected to focus on the Pope's comments on climate change ten times more than his statements on abortion.

MSNBC decided to highlight the pope's progressive views on climate change and global warming over his support for life at conception. Beginning with Morning Joe at 6:00 am and ending with The Last Word at 11:00pm, MSNBC anchors, pundits, reporters, and guests brought up climate change at least 54 times in one day. A Free Beacon analysis found only five times abortion was mentioned during the Wednesday's coverage.
