CNN: Dems, White House in 'Public Feud’ over VA Scandal

A CNN panel agreed that Democrats are publicly fighting the Obama Administration over their mishandling over the VA scandal.

"The timing [of the scandal] is really terrible for this Administration…Obama has straddled the line…" said Politico's Maggie Haberman.

John King agreed with Haberman’s telling statement, adding "…you have Democrats in prominent races in a public feud with the White House. They disagree with the president." He noted that the feud could affect voter turnout in the races. "If you feel you have to run from your White House in a campaign year, you might have to do it," he said.

The Washington Post's Nia-Malika Henderson said, "We always talk about how often the White House is isolated not only from folks in the Senate. I mean, folks like Allison Lundergran Grimes who want separation from this president…"

Democrats have been vocal in recent days about the Obama Administration’s mishandling of the VA Vets scandal and have called for Secretary Eric Shinseki to resign from his job immediately. President Obama held a press conference this week to discuss the latest developments in the scandal in an attempt to quell the negativity of it, but Democrats, visibly upset by it, continue to hit hard.
