Senior editor for the Washington Free Beacon Bill Gertz said the United States needs to tell the "truth about about China" to counter the quasi-communist country's goal of becoming the world's most dominant power Monday evening on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory.
Gertz warned China's inherently unstable combination of capitalist, socialist, and communist aspects with a corresponding lack of fundamental unifying values puts the country at risk for collapse.
"The Chinese are looking for some kind of a values system because they have a problem, they export toothpaste with anti-freeze in it. So there's this kind of kind of rampant commercialism, so they don't have a good sense of a values system underneath. They're looking for some transition," he said.
However, according to Gertz, the United States has been "cowed" into not telling the truth about China. "When we told the truth about the Soviet Union, what happened? It collapsed. […] If we did the same thing we could pressure the Chinese into transitioning into a less threatening, more Democratic system."
