Former President George W. Bush will be honored at the United States Military Academy next week.

Bush will be awarded the famous Sylvanus Thayer Award. The award recognizes those individuals who fulfilled West Point's motto of "Duty, Honor, Country" in their service to the country, the Hill reports.

The award will be presented next Thursday at a ceremony where the former president will be given the same award his father, former President George H.W. Bush, received in 1994.

The ceremony will be hosted by the U.S. Military Academy’s Association of Graduates, and prior to the award ceremony, a parade will be open to the public.

Last year's winner of the award was Robert Mueller who is currently the special counsel investigating Russian collusion in the 2016 elections.

Other past winners of the Sylvanus Thayer Award include Neil Armstrong, former President Dwight Eisenhower and Gen. Douglas McArthur.
