I Would Convert For Natalie Portman

The deepest expression of love is to change one’s religion to that of your partner. It shows a devotion to your significant other that can only be exceeded by raising a child together. And even when you raise a kid, 3:30AM wake-up calls get a little dicey.

So it's a massive step for Benjamin Millepied to convert to Judaism. And if you've never heard of "Benjamin Millepied" before, you've certainly heard of his wife.

The funny thing here is that this is news to begin with. Who wouldn't convert to spend a lifetime with Natalie?

If Benjamin fails the beit din, I want everyone to know that I'm prepared to join the tribe in his place.

Still, there are some bridges you just can't cross. Natalie, a proud supporter of Israel, is also supporter of the current president and his administration. How she squares that circle is a mystery to me. The mikvah may have my name on it, but politics is where I'm going to draw the line. RR trumps JC.

Natalie and Millepied first met on the set of "Black Swan," and the two, um, hit it off.

Natalie looked even better the following year as a new mother. And Benjamin did his part too: He stayed out of her photos.

Natalie and I may not have everything in common. But we would greet Jeff Zucker the same way. And surely that's got to count for something.
