Webb Considering Run for President in 2016

Former Sen. Jim Webb (D., Va.) said he was considering running for president Monday on The Diane Rehm Show, making him a potential 2016 primary challenger to Hillary Clinton.

Rehm asked him directly if he was considering a run.

"My wife and I are just thinking about what to do next," he said. "I care a lot about where the country is, and we'll be sorting that out."

Rehm said that didn't sound like a denial, drawing laughter from Webb.

"Well, if you look at how I ran for the Senate, I announced nine months to the day before the election with no money and no campaign staff," he said. "It takes me a while to decide things, and I'm not going to say one way or the the other."
